Cyber strategy requires a wide view of the problem set, with an understanding of the complex and often interdependent relationships between technology, people, and processes. At the Ellis Research Institute, we take a holistic view of strategy and address security at a variety of levels. This approach allows us to understand the “why” which ties together the “how” of defensive and offensive tactics.
The Ellis Research Institute’s approach is to take a more holistic view of the cyber threat landscape, using specific events as test cases or data points, rather than as the driving narrative. This allows the Institute to spend the time and manpower on developing cyber security strategies, methodologies, and tools which organizations focused on day-to-day security needs can use to make more informed and long-term decisions. In order to achieve this objective, the Ellis Research Institute partners with organizations both from the cyber security community as well as those with the domain-specific knowledge required to create practical guidance.
